The surviving group was vague about what happened to them. One of them appeared to be sick. He was more or less drowning in his own lungs when they found him. The most that was said about the other was that he seemed off in some way, and refused to leave the one that had taken ill.

Otherwise, the group wasn't forthcoming with details, other than the notion that both of them are dead.
