[They seem to be holes dug into the ground, relatively shallow and nowhere near the six feet usually required for the materials placed inside of them.

Namely, they appear to be human bones, bleached and stacked largest to smallest in an odd sort of mound, one to each plot; the only exception to the order - meticulously maintained among all of them - is the skulls, which have been set stop the piles.

Each plot has flowers laid to one side of the grave, at the top of them as seen as you enter the clearing; they seem to have been deliberately left, as opposed to anything that's fallen naturally.]
