The sentiment was expressed that the group is going to continue moving onward from here; it will become plain, soon enough, that there's really only one way that that could constitute.

The white-walled chamber of the caverns is heavily calcified, something that just seems to intensify the further in you go; the best thing about it, most likely, is the fact that it seems brighter in here, far easier to see. There still isn't a source of visible sunlight, but there's a sort of glow bouncing off the walls as the area narrows out a bit again, into a passage leading further into the mountain itself.

It's likely - probable, really - that you're getting far closer to the crash site. The place where all of this began.

Are you prepared for what might await you there?

Whether you are or not, it's possible that the lack of food or sleep is starting to get to you - or perhaps it's some effect of the Shimmer itself. It's difficult to say, but that doesn't change what's happening both to and around you; the visions start out small - items or objects that have no reason to be here that fade immediately when you try to pick them up, bends in the path that vanish as you try to turn down them - but they'll increase in severity as the hours and the days pass in here. There will be figures standing at the periphery of your vision, people that your feelings are strong toward in one way or another but that absolutely shouldn't be here with you; there's also the briefest sightings of threats, monsters and beings that are there to cause harm to you, that won't stay for long enough to be engaged.

It's hard to trust your mind right now; is it still easy to trust those that are with you?

The sensations of distrust are building; the paranoia you're beginning to feel may not be all that rational. But in the end, is it really that undue, either?

[Another encounter with the Shimmer, another round of confusion, frustration and exhaustion. It's probably going to be a fairly unanimous opinion, but Page much preferred the circle of peaceful corpses over the tree of suffering.

She emerged from the river just in time to hear what the Shimmer had to say, and it leaves a bad taste in her mouth. But regardless of feelings, it's probably wise that they don't move away from this cavern for the time being; the fire, remnants of that horrible tree, is providing light and warmth. They couldn't really ask for much more, especially after spending the past week in darkness.

So Page will swim back to the fire, placing herself in front of it and unwinding her headpiece, letting her locs fall free around her face. She's soaked, miserable and cold. As awful as the source of the heat is, she needs to dry off. The last thing she wants is to fall ill.

Not that it would mean much - sounds like a problem for her body. Wherever that is.

You're free to join her, or do what you will; time to rest, before the new week begins.]
