[Page silently watches the church burn for a little while, once she's emerged safely from it, before turning away and heading to the town square to meet up with everyone else. It makes sense to rest here, as they did last week, after another town with another tragic story to tell.

At least that time, however, they'd all survived it unscathed.

Once she's made it over to the group, she drops her pack onto the ground and collapses next to it, staring at her feet. It's going to take a bit to...process all of that, and while she'd love to get up in front of everyone and make some kind of rousing speech, she just doesn't have it in her at the moment.

Instead, she'll look up from the stone of the square, eventually, casting her eye over everyone and saying (almost to herself)-]

...I hope everyone is all right.

[That is likely far from true, but...well. They're all alive, Wesker is dead, and that's something. She's trying her best not to look at that little tree-sculpture with the key around its neck.

[Yusei hadn't expected someone to answer him, so he looks up in brief confusion. His mouth forms a brief "oh" in surprise, before his expression sobers back up again.]

A lot of things...mostly about what the true existence of the Shimmer really is, I suppose.

[Which is what they've been exploring it to find out!!! so that's nothing new!

It sounds like the type of lifeform that is far too used to taking over someone's existence, and even though it's not done with malicious intent, it's mostly done without permission.

I can't agree with that, at any rate. But, it'd be better if we learned more about it, yeah.

[ He mused that it's lucky that they all came from the battle alive, and he attributed it to quick, decisive action. He had some pretty good teammates with him, and he's glad that he wasn't wrong in presuming so. ]

That aside, is something about it bothering you? Besides the fact that the Shimmer exists and it's a problem to this world?

[ They've already been wondering about the 'true existence of the Shimmer' and it's why some of them here (look, he was still here for fights and adventure, sue him), so he's not just about to believe that's all. Especially when that huge bombshell of the 'previous group brought a piece of the Shimmer with them' had been dropped, and the subsequent reactions that had resulted... ],/samll>

[ That was a reasonable thing to deliberate on, he supposed, in the face of everything. Yusei didn't seem all that happy about bringing out a part of the Shimmer... or well, that the 'other him' did. ]

...Maybe you'll find answers at some point.

But, if it helps any, I don't think it was an easy decision, or something that was carelessly thought up. You don't seem like the type of guy to throw caution to the wind without thinking things through.

[ Pointing a gun at Wesker and waiting for the right moment to fire was proof of that, to him. ]

You'd be surprised how often I'm accused of being reckless.

[He might have waited to fire, but the act of pulling out the gun...definitely not the wisest of choices. Certainly not one without risk. He's lucky Wesker simply thought to mock him instead of firing immediately like he did the others.]

Still, I'd like to think you're right. But what led him-me-to make that decision...I wish I knew.

I don't think I'm too surprised. People see someone like you and already I can imagine they think you're some reckless kid right off the bat.

[ That's how it was with him when he was younger! ...Except that they were right with him. Shh, it's fine...

Either way, Lancer thought well of Yusei's choices during that confrontation. Wesker being disarmed helped them in the longrun and he was thankful, as well as pleasantly surprised at that. ]

Well, if you keep looking hard enough for those answers, I personally think you'll find them. [ Even if it's more of a 'maybe'. ] Before that, I guess you got some time to prepare yourself on how to receive them.

Well, they're not that wrong. I don't always think things through.

I guess all I can do is prepare myself. Asking myself these things...I can only speculate otherwise.
