Continuation.
CONFRONTATION
Vitali doesn't seem inclined to come much closer to any of you; there's a wall of glass between her and you, and she appears to want to keep it that way. Any attempts to breach it are likely a terrible idea; just because there aren't any soldiers with them doesn't mean that they're unarmed, after all.
"So you've decided to act up," she says, her hands folded behind her back, her posture formal and stiff in a way that doesn't suit her; her gaze remains as icy as her words, though she's refraining from making direct eye contact with any one of you in particular. She's still audible, despite the glass; it isn't as all-encompassing as the Shimmer seemed to be whenever it spoke to you within the boundary, but it's sharp, commanding. "If that's what you want to do, then fine. We can talk about that. You guys haven't wanted to settle since you got back; maybe this will make you actually sit down for a moment.
"If you're going to talk, get it out of your system before we throw you back in quarantine and figure out what to do with you. And try to keep from launching at the glass or doing anything stupid to yourselves in the meantime. We'd hate to have a reason to classify any of you as a threat."

...It's quite fine. They were both, ah, quite the experience to say the least.

Wesker managed to convince the few people who were left when we found that town that he was god, with...all of the arrogance that came with it. Though at this point, I wonder if he was more part of the Shimmer than a man himself.
[At any rate--]
There were...two points, I think, where we wound up getting...put out of commission, so to speak, assumedly by the Shimmer. When we first entered the boundary, and deep within the mines itself--I thought it might account for the lost time, at least in part.
[...Just kind of looking around at the others.]
...Though, if we're offering apologies, I would like to apologize for my friends as well. They've been rather...stressed, to say the least.
[Yes, friends. Some more than others, but like. She's making an attempt at advocating for them at least.]

[Like she is doing a great job at standing very still and not just screaming into her hands. Mentally she's been doing a lot of screaming into her hands over the past week.]
I don't...blame you for being upset. There's been a lot of stuff we haven't been able to tell you.

...I'm not upset myself; I do appreciate what information you have been willing to give us.
[There's a small, apologetic smile shot Hubert's way before going back to Vitali.]
...The situation we've been in has been precarious for weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if some of us thought that we might perish down here, or if something horrible was going to happen to us. It is likely one of the many reasons we've reacted as we did; I don't claim to know everyone's reasons, of course. Everyone has their own.
[It's gently stated, though, not pointed at anyone or anything.]
But you've likely been pretty stressed yourself, haven't you?

We just had pretty much an entire mountain burst into flames for no apparent reason, and when we went up to see what on earth was going on, we found you guys. Except one of you went AWOL, and at least half the rest of you had something going horrifically wrong with your body, and your eyes were all glowing in the dark at me like iridescent cats from hell.
It's been great.

...I can certainly see where things looked like they were going to...well, complete and utter chaos in a tiny little handbasket. Especially after losing us like that for a year.

It's been an interesting year.

[They're all learning so much today.]

I think she's talking about that circle of dead bodies holding hands we found.

[It was kind of hard to tell chronology in Shimmerland?? But also the extra Rideaux was a trip and a half, too, so he might be forgiven for not connecting it right away...]
