CAVERN.

[Another encounter with the Shimmer, another round of confusion, frustration and exhaustion. It's probably going to be a fairly unanimous opinion, but Page much preferred the circle of peaceful corpses over the tree of suffering.

She emerged from the river just in time to hear what the Shimmer had to say, and it leaves a bad taste in her mouth. But regardless of feelings, it's probably wise that they don't move away from this cavern for the time being; the fire, remnants of that horrible tree, is providing light and warmth. They couldn't really ask for much more, especially after spending the past week in darkness.

So Page will swim back to the fire, placing herself in front of it and unwinding her headpiece, letting her locs fall free around her face. She's soaked, miserable and cold. As awful as the source of the heat is, she needs to dry off. The last thing she wants is to fall ill.

Not that it would mean much - sounds like a problem for her body. Wherever that is.

You're free to join her, or do what you will; time to rest, before the new week begins.]

Well, I tried my best to get along with everyone despite our reasons for being there. I was even able to find some comfort in it really, what with Mr. Skelkro and my angel Emily being there. Mr. Riley and Mr. Pierson however frequently fought with one another, and the latter...

[A pause, before she shakes her head as if deciding against whatever she had been initially about to say about him.]

Just before the game was about to begin, Mr. Pierson suddenly disappeared. No one knew where he went, and as a result, we had assumed that he had managed to escape, leaving only three of us left for the game. So I decided not to worry about him anymore and focus on getting myself and Emily out of there somehow.

...I am glad that you were able to make the most of it. Mr. Skelkro and Emily sound wonderful.

[...She can't say the same for the two dudes, oh my god y'all. Why do you people not build up your support ranks and just fight??? Terrible.

Either way, Felicia listens, and...she's not sure if she knows where this is going, but her lips purse none the less.]

...I understand. It would have been awful if he escaped like that and just left you behind. But...did you find out what happened to him?

[There is that 'assumed' in there, after all.]

No... although, after today, I now have a suspicion of sorts that I am worried might have some weight to it.

[Emma turns her attention back to where the people tree was.]

In order to guide Emily to safety, I needed to light a fire... so I used Mr. Skelkro. As a scarecrow, I'm sure that he didn't like fire, but he was okay with it since it meant being able to save Emily. But I couldn't help but notice that there was a strange smell that came off of the scarecrow after lighting it... not like what I thought I would expect from burning straw.

... This tree... reminds me of it now.

[You ever just have a moment where you realize you might have actually killed someone tbh]
